Dendron is a local first, markdown-based, structured note taking tool build on top of VSCode and Git. All note taking tools make it easy to put notes in, but after a point, all make it hard to get them out again. Dendron is the first tool that lets you, a human, get your notes back out regardless of how many notes you have (I have 20k+ notes in Dendron right now and can reference anything in a few seconds). We do this by using our [hierarchal first approach to note taking](https://kevinslin.com/notes/3dd58f62-fee5-4f93-b9f1-b0f0f59a9b64.html). We have a huge backlog of issues in the backlog from our growing user base, everything from updating icons to implementing block references. You can find good first time tasks here: https://github.com/dendronhq/dendron/labels/size.small You can also join our discord to get a sense for what we're about: https://discord.gg/AE3NRw9
